Our site is purpose built; every new addition to our facilities has been designed to lessen our environmental impact, including solar panels, efficient processing lines, new UV sterilisers, efficient refrigeration and intelligent site design.
Electricity from Solar
We have invested heavily in the installation of solar panels at our site. Our expansive buildings and exposed country-side location are ideal for the production of green, carbon-neutral energy production. The introduction of solar power has made our processing facility virtually self-sufficient, and we put power back into the grid when we over produce in the summer months. It is now company policy that all future building on our site will incorporate solar panels in their construction.
UV Sterilizers & Efficient Refrigeration
We look at both efficiency improvements and lessening environmental impact throughout our production line. We have replaced our water heated sterilisers for new energy-efficient UV sterilisers. These save energy, are more effective and less polluting. They also use the power from our solar panels. We also have a new state-of-the-art refrigeration system, which replaces old gas-powered units. These too use our own solar power, so are more environmentally friendly.
Heat Exchange System
We are constantly looking at new technology to improve our efficiency, lessen pollution and reduce environmental impact. Recently we have invested in the installation of a new heat exchange system, which serves our entire site. Not only does the new system provide hot water to all our onsite facilities at a fraction of the previous running costs, it is also far more energy efficient and less polluting, helping reduce our impact on the environment.
